Metal Textiles That Breathe

Caio Marcolini draws his inspiration from organic systems — from entangled roots to the cells that compose the human body. What began as a fascination with the natural world has evolved into a series of hand-woven sculptures crafted from fine strips of metal. Gold, copper, and iron intertwine to produce delicate forms that seem to vibrate between the biological and the abstract.

Trained as a goldsmith, Marcolini employs traditional techniques to construct a uniform mesh that gives rise to forms appearing to flow like living organisms. Each sculpture, though entirely unique, reflects the logic of an organic community — a structure that breathes through its own form.

Marcolini allows the process to unfold intuitively, bringing forth pieces that transcend art to become something closer to a meditation on life itself.
