Urbanus Energy: Fuel That Powers Employment, Community, and Competition

In an increasingly competitive energy market, Urbanus Energy has emerged as a 100% Mexican brand determined to distinguish itself not only through pricing and quality, but through its direct impact on employment and the social fabric.
The first service station opened in the municipality of Nezahualcóyotl, marking the start of a first phase set to conclude before the end of July. The plan calls for 11 stations strategically distributed across Tlalpan, Gustavo A. Madero, Álvaro Obregón, Venustiano Carranza, Ciudad Neza, and Toluca.
With an investment exceeding 10 million pesos, Urbanus projects half a million fueling transactions per month — gasoline and diesel — serving the concentrated demand of public transit, freight, and private vehicles in high-traffic corridors.
Beyond volumes and liters, what sets Urbanus apart is its commitment to meaningful employment. The project will generate more than 200 direct jobs, with 40% reserved for single mothers — offering stable working conditions and a tangible path to economic advancement for historically underserved communities.
“Fuel is only the beginning,” said Óscar Pedroza Jiménez, Chairman of the Board and founder of the brand. “Urbanus Energy was built for those who expect more: a service that is reliable, accessible, and genuinely human.”

Urbanus Energy guarantees full-liter accuracy on every fill and is committed to operational transparency. While not part of the federal agreement fixing gasoline at 24 pesos per liter, the brand has made competitive pricing a standing priority across all of its stations.
In terms of positioning, Urbanus is determined to transcend the traditional gas station model. Each location is conceived not merely as a fueling stop, but as a clean, safe, and efficient space for the customer. The brand is betting on an experience that combines trust, functionality, and genuine closeness to the communities it serves.
This new entrant strengthens free competition in Mexico’s energy sector, today dominated by a handful of major brands. With counsel from specialists in energy and environmental law — including Javier Govea of GMBA Abogados — Urbanus is positioned as a company capable of meeting the highest regulatory standards without sacrificing its local character or social purpose.
While other brands anchor their strategy in volume and rapid expansion, Urbanus Energy places something more fundamental at the center of its story: the possibility of building a profitable business with a genuinely human purpose.
