Sculpted Silences

Paola Grizi, contemporary artist, has captivated audiences through her emotionally charged bronze and terracotta sculptures. In her work, faces and hands intertwine with the pages of books and handwritten manuscripts, forging a profound visual dialogue between materiality and narrative. Lines of script that migrate from leaf to skin, alongside bas-reliefs of eyes and mouths, animate a repertoire of knowledge and feeling that seems to whisper its stories directly to the viewer.

Her work — ranging from intimate sculptures scaled for private interiors to commanding pieces such as Inner Motion and Looking Ahead — invites reflection and personal discovery in equal measure. Grizi currently holds works in permanent exhibition at prestigious galleries including Marciano Contemporary in Paris and Bel Air Fine Art in Luxembourg.

This summer, her art will also be on view at Gallery Maner in Port-Aven, France. Paola Grizi’s sculptures do not merely challenge the conventional boundaries of the form — they construct an emotional bridge between the viewer and the literary experience itself, bestowing new meaning on every figure she commits to bronze.
