In the south of France, within the walls of Château Miraval, a studio that helped define the European sound is once again operational — under an entirely new logic. Miraval Studios, where Pink Floyd recorded “The Wall” and where AC/DC and Sting left their mark, is back, driven by Brad Pitt‘s vision as a strategic centerpiece within a high-value ecosystem.

The reopening is not merely an exercise in nostalgia or investment. The project, developed alongside producer Damien Quintard, entailed a comprehensive, multimillion-dollar intervention commensurate with the technical standard and positioning the studio seeks to command.

At the heart of the studio lies its equipment. Miraval integrates a custom analog console built on classic modules, paired with high-resolution digital systems. The recording chain extends to tube preamplifiers, optical and solid-state compressors, and a curated selection of reference microphones from Neumann, AKG, and Telefunken.

The main room preserves its original acoustics, meticulously redesigned to capture natural sound in large formats. The space accommodates live recordings with multiple musicians, prioritizing depth, dynamics, and tonal fidelity.

Within the broader business model, the studio does not operate as a standalone unit. It is fully integrated into Château Miraval, which already functions as a premium vineyard with an international footprint. The addition of creative infrastructure transforms the asset into a destination — hospitality, wine, and cultural production converging in a single estate.

In an industry defined by speed, Miraval wagers on the opposite: time, precision, silence, and surroundings with soul.
