Mexican artist Silvino López Tovar has carried his work from the public spaces of Hidalgo to international stages in Milan, Seoul, and Madrid.

Recognized with honors including the Global Water Drink Award in Scotland and the National Design Prize from Mexico’s INBA, his body of work spans murals, furniture, and sculpture — transforming everyday spaces into immersive artistic experiences.

His practice fuses art and design into pieces that breathe wind, time, and silence.

A graduate in Industrial Design from Universidad Nuevo Mundo, he came to understand that design is also, at its core, applied poetics.

He has contributed to scenographic projects in Spain and participated in landmark events including the Ibero-American Design Biennial in Madrid and Italian Design Day in Mexico and Italy.

Today, he serves on the Design Advisory Council and continues to explore new expressions of movement in his work — pieces in which air and wind become invisible yet inevitable protagonists.
