“Eufloria: Floral Splendor,” an Exhibition Celebrating Nature at Museo Kaluz

The exhibition Eufloria at Museo Kaluz invites visitors to explore the art of florals through more than 50 works and a cabinet of scents, fusing creativity and nature into a singular immersive experience. Curated by Sara García Fernández, the exhibition brings together works by Mexican and international artists spanning the 18th century to the present, with standout pieces by Alfredo Ramos Martínez, Remedios Varo, and Leonora Carrington.

Organized into six thematic sections — Abundancia, Bouquets, Flores de Manila, and more — the exhibition delves into the historical and cultural symbolism of flowers, moving well beyond the decorative to reflect on their fragility and deeper meaning. Each work evokes the essence of imagined gardens, where color and form transcend the purely visual.

The Museo del Perfume enriches the experience with fragrances including geranium, ylang-ylang, and violet, creating a dialogue between art and the olfactory sense. This multisensory approach enables an intimate connection with each work, revealing how profoundly nature has shaped artistic imagination.

The exhibition is as much an invitation to environmental awareness as it is a visual feast. Several works confront issues such as deforestation and biodiversity loss — a quiet reminder of the urgency of preserving these natural treasures.

Eufloria runs through September 15, 2025, at Av. Hidalgo 85, Mexico City. An unmissable appointment for those who wish to welcome spring with all their senses.
