WHERE EVERY SIP TELLS A STORY

What lies behind every sip of tequila? A story of territory, tradition, craftsmanship, and — increasingly — business opportunity. In Tlaquepaque, that story finds a natural gathering point in Expo Tequila, a platform driven by CANACO Tlaquepaque that since 2012 has established this exposition as an enduring tradition woven into the municipality’s cultural life, tourism, and economic activity. Founded in 1982, the Chamber counts among its core objectives the representation and strengthening of local merchants, business owners, and entrepreneurs — as well as the creation of spaces that open new commercial opportunities.

This edition of Expo Tequila brings together more than 50 companies from the tequila, mezcal, and raicilla industries, with more than 150 participating brands, alongside tastings, mixology, gastronomy, culture, and immersive experiences that draw the public deeper into the world of agave distillates.

Yet the phenomenon extends far beyond any single exposition. According to the Consejo Regulador del Tequila (CRT), during the first half of 2026, 302.1 million liters of tequila were produced and 214.4 million exported — a 3.3% increase over the same period the previous year. The spirit is now present in more than 120 countries, and the agroindustry supports over 100,000 direct and indirect jobs.

Every bottle, then, represents far more than a product — it is identity, productive chain, innovation, and an opportunity to project Mexico into new markets.
