The Palm Beach International Boat Show arrived at its 44th edition with more than one hundred superyachts and a total vessel value exceeding one billion dollars. The Florida show has established itself as the world’s second most important — behind only the Monaco Yacht Show — driven by a formula that combines open water, open air, and a surging wave of buyers from across the Americas.

The star vessel of the edition was the Rocinante, a two-hundred-and-fifty-six-foot superyacht built by Lürssen. The full roster includes the great European builders — Feadship, Benetti, Heesen — alongside the largest-ever United States exhibition in Heesen‘s history.

The show’s trajectory has been unmistakably upward. The previous edition assembled more than one thousand vessels, and wealth in Palm Beach County has tripled in recent years, according to industry reports. The city has become the natural home port for buyers who divide their time between New York and the South.

The superyacht axis is shifting. Monaco retains its prestige, but Palm Beach is extending its reach. The Atlantic show has become the port from which the premium nautical industry’s defining annual conversation now departs.
