The M2 Racing from BMW M Motorsport marks a milestone in motorsport: beginning in 2026, it will be manufactured in Mexico, carrying the “Made in Mexico” designation to circuits around the world. Producing 230 kW / 313 hp and reaching a top speed of 270 km/h, this two-seat contender fuses the production M2 platform with sophisticated competition components developed by BMW M Motorsport engineers. Engineered for both sprint and endurance formats — including the Nürburgring 24 Hours — it delivers durability and operational efficiency without sacrificing a moment of excitement.

With a base price of €98,000 in Europe, the M2 Racing presents a compelling proposition for novice and seasoned competitors alike. Björn Lellmann, Director of Customer Racing at BMW M Motorsport, has noted that the program is built around a deliberate balance between driving pleasure and accessible costs.
