Formula 1: A Novel on Wheels

The writers of Netflix’s Drive to Survive must be grateful for the current Formula 1 season. It is doing much of their work for them — the drama and plot twists are writing themselves in a year defined by sweeping change and compelling new protagonists.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Isack Hadjar, Gabriel Bortoleto, Oliver Bearman, and Jack Doohan are the defining new names of the 2025 season — young talents representing a generation that is visibly reshaping the grid.
Lewis Hamilton made the move of the decade, leaving Mercedes to sign with Ferrari, while Red Bull faces a recovery that only Max Verstappen has been able to hold together in the wake of the upheaval surrounding Christian Horner’s departure. Amid it all, Mexico’s own Checo Pérez has kept the engine running — and with Cadillac set to join Formula 1 in 2026, Checo shows no sign of stopping. “Never Give Up.”

From October 24 to 26, the Mexico City Grand Prix returns to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez — one of the most anticipated rounds on the calendar. Wrapped in drama, fresh faces, and impeccable organization, the engines will roar once more.
