Cipriani will open its first Lido — a beach club — in Dubai by 2027, within the J1 Beach district of Jumeirah. It marks the Italian house’s first beach club on the Persian Gulf, adding to the operation it already sustains at the city’s Dubai International Financial Centre.

The house traces its origins to Harry’s Bar in Venice, where Giuseppe Cipriani invented the Bellini and assembled the first iteration of what would become a global institution. Today the family operates restaurants in New York, London, Ibiza, Monaco, Hong Kong, Miami, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Riyadh.

The new Lido will feature a classic Italian restaurant, a Bellini Bar & Lounge, private dining rooms, a terrace, a Living Room inspired by Socialista — the house’s signature social concept — as well as private cabanas, sun loungers, and direct beach access with views across the Gulf. The format is conceived as a full-day experience, not merely a dinner destination.

J1 Beach is fast becoming Jumeirah’s preeminent axis for premium beach clubs. Cipriani’s arrival raises the standard for Italian provenance on this coastline. The question worth asking: how many century-old European houses will continue to transpose their Mediterranean DNA onto the sands of the Gulf?
