Zapopan in Madrid: A Week That Reveals Its New Cultural and Economic Identity

The Casa de México en España opens its doors to one of western Mexico’s most dynamic delegations: Zapopan. The city arrives in Madrid with an agenda spanning culture, gastronomy, urban development, and investment opportunities — a showcase for a territory that is steadily consolidating its reputation as an ecosystem of innovation and creativity.
The inaugural ceremony is led by Juan José Frangie, Municipal President of Zapopan, alongside Rosa María Sánchez, Director General of the Casa de México en España. The program includes a masterclass by chef Óscar Segundo, artisanal exhibitions representative of Jalisco, a presence from the Centro Cultural Constitución, and the presentation of projects championed by the Municipal Cultural Council.
The gathering serves as a point of connection to strengthen professional and cultural ties between these two key cities. Zapopan Week in Madrid has established itself as a forum for dialogue between Mexico and Spain — and a reaffirmation of the city’s growing role on the international stage.
