Educational Innovation with Measurable Social Impact

In a country where thousands of children attend public schools in contexts of deep marginalization, Escuela en Comunidad has emerged as a disruptive force transforming realities from within the classroom. This program, developed in Jalisco, Mexico, brings together teachers, communities, businesses, public institutions, and civil society to ensure that education becomes a genuine instrument of equity, opportunity, and purpose.
Since its founding in 2009, Escuela en Comunidad has directly impacted more than 25,000 students, 800 teachers, and 2,000 families. Over the course of its evolution, the program has systematized learning across four key dimensions: reading comprehension, logical-mathematical reasoning, social-emotional skills and a culture of peace, and school-community management — so that students not only remain in school through preparatoria, but do so with motivation, purpose, and continuously improving academic performance.
Escuela en Comunidad does not merely improve the educational experience in the present: it invests strategically in the future of thousands of children living in conditions of vulnerability. Its impact extends far beyond the classroom.
By strengthening the fabric of community and the school’s role as a space for containment, guidance, and connection, the program prevents early contact with cycles of violence, dropout, and high-risk environments — offering a concrete alternative of dignified, autonomous life.

The results are measurable: children who participate in Escuela en Comunidad demonstrate meaningful gains in academic performance, develop self-esteem, confidence, and a sense of purpose, and find in their school a space for growth, belonging, and opportunity.
Supporting this model is not merely an educational investment — it is a genuine commitment to reducing inequality, preventing violence, and building more just and resilient communities.
More than a program, Escuela en Comunidad is a living network of social transformation through education. We invite you to become part of this Community.
